Cobh is a busy town located just east of Cork city, near the mouth of the port of Cork. Built on a hill rising up from the waterfront, the skyline dominated by the world famous Cathedral shown below. Nowdays Cobh is a busy industrial town, with many pharmaceutical and steel plants nearby, but in the past, it was primarily a fishing town. Passenger ferries used sail from Cobh port to America, and Cobh was the last stop for the ill fated Titanic as it sailed on it's maiden voyage across the atlantic.
